the nurse becomes a patient
Yup. That's right, I got to spend a few hours hooked up to an IV last weekend. And of course, it took me a while to recover so that I could even journal about it! After spending 5 days without keeping any food or fluid down (not even water) I was ready to call in the troops to save me. The troops ended up being my sister for a day, since that's all I could find on such short notice on a weekday. In any case, what I thought was a horrible pregnancy symptom is looking more and more like it was probably actually the flu. I am just glad it is over.
I had an u/s on Monday and determined that babyP is actually due one day earlier than I had originally though. October 26th is the new and improved due date. Any day earlier makes me that much happier.
As of the past 3 days, I am feeling like I am rounding that corner into the 2nd trimester and very glad not to spend all day every day hunkering over the toilet. Of course, I now have to contend with the not-so-lovely orthostatic hypotension that makes me black out if I stand still for too long. So, it's back to laps around the grocery cart when standing in line and sitting all day on a birth ball.
The joys of pregnancy...
