Maybe baby?

Monday, while I was at work, we called down to the ultrasound tech to see if she was busy. SHe said the only time she would have to peek would be "right now!" So, of course, I dropped everything and ran down! The view was great! We saw all the baby toes and the baby was so active! It took a while, but it sure does look like this baby is another girl! I really always thought I'd have one of each, so this was a bit of a surprise, but then again...what about this pregnancy hasn't been a surprise?!? I will be so excited to haev 2 girls, but then again, if the next u/s reveals boy parts, I will be thrilled about that, too!
For right now...no big shopping plans for new clothes. Just planning to dig out the ones we used a coupld years ago...and find a place to put them!

Celebrating Baby

I guess I'm feeling guilty, not just for my own actions, but for all of it. It just seems like this baby isn't being celebrated as much as Kira. Of course, Kira was LONG awaited and this baby was a surprise. But, doesn't that make this MIRACLE number 2? Who would have thought that we could do this on our own? This baby really wants to be here to be such a surprise!
Maybe it's second baby syndrome. Sometimes forgotten in the shuffle of caring for a toddler. Well, not forgotten entirely, but you know...
Or maybe it's just that I don't have a close circle of friends like I did with my pregnancy last time. Everyone is on a different path and no one seems to have much time to get together anymore.
Whatever it is, I want this baby celebrated in some unique way! I'm feeling sad that there may not be a baby shower. There most likely will not even be a nursery to decorate. And if it is a girl, not many clothes to buy. So, what can we do? I am hoping one of my creative readers will inspire me...or that typing this out will stimulate my rarely used brain cells!

Tried to peek

Last weekend, actually, we tried to peek in and see what this little pumpkin seed had in store for us. No dice. We had a perfect little butt shot, but the machine was either too fuzzy or it was just too darn early to see anything yet. With Kira, we were able to sort of tell at 14 weeks and it was more obvious at 16 weeks. I will be 16 weeks on Saturday, so I hope to be able to tell by then. Geesh! A mom has to plan...

Katie's Quick Weight Loss Program

It seems my brain was overloaded and I posted this under Kira's blog!

1. Get pregnant. Unexpectedly.
2. Throw up everything you eat or drink.
3. Repeat this for several days in a row several times a month.
4. Change insurance plans to one that doesn't cover the only nausea medication that actually works.
5. It also helps to have a toddler in the house that doesn't sit still. Ever. And who likes to bounce on momma's tummy.

This program is guaranteed to achieve an unwanted weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week.
